DescriptionBodice of lady's gown of heavy ribbed cream silk, brocaded with bold flowers and scrolling leaves undulating in serpentine line across full width; squared, untrimmed neckline with center front hook and eye closure, boned down center front. 3/4 sleeves, unlined, ending in a ruffle of bobbin net (machine made). Bodice comes to deep points at center front and back, shaped to body with bust darts and curving seams, boned. Back neckline comes to "V".Textile: mid-18thc.; remade 1780s.
