DescriptionPetticoat of soft cream-color silk satin, quilted in running stitch in a border pattern of large spikey flowers, abstracted round fruit growing at ends of long stems, and horizontally undulating feathers or leaves. Upper portion has vertical rows of spiky leaves and repeated spirals. Pocket slits on hips; top pleated to replaced linen band with ties on each hip. Lined with creamy white glazed worsted in tabby weave, probably called "tammy"; light padding of soft wool fiber.Construction History:
