DescriptionEgg cup with deep cup-shaped body and brown edged flaring rim is supported on short stem with central swelling and conical foot. Decorated in overglaze enamels with bouquet and sprig of flowers in orange-red, blue, yellow, and green.Red anchor period.
Label TextFew specimens of this form remain, due to their great fragility. Those surviving are usually marked with the red anchor plus a numeral like the 7 on this one. A published example with the same floral decoration is numbered 2, while a recorded pair is numbered 4 and 6.
