DescriptionBreeches of blue and white pin-stripe silk taffeta, woven all-over in small white diamond-lozenges, each enclosing small pink rosebud. Conventional shape with button-front closing; set-in hip pockets; gathered bias fullness in seat; braid trim with buttoned vents at knees. Lining of white linen.

Construction History:
1. 1760-1780 Initial Construction
2. Date Unknown- lining possibly replaced.
3. Date Unknown- front emlarged and altered so buttons are now on opposite side; one late suspender button remains on breeches. hooks and eyes added lower front.
4. Date Unknown- knee band cut off short on left leg; missing entirely on right knee.
