DescriptionBreeches of yellow-white tabby cotton (Nankeen) with self-covered buttons. Wide waistband has suspender buttons and a welted, button-trimmed watch pocket; center front three-button closure. Narrow fall buttoned at sides and center front. Pockets under buttoned flaps fastened at either side. Slim legs end below knees with 3/4" wide knee bands and four small buttons on each leg. Back waistband has gusset and four eyelets for expansion. Seat very slightly gathered to waistband. Waistband lining, fall lining, knee button facings and pockets all of tabby linen.ProvenanceWorn in Virginia by a member of the Tazewell family.
