Themed sets, such as this were popular throughout the eighteenth-century in England and America. A fashuionably dressed young woman stands beside a pool. She carries a fishing pole and cannister (for fish?). A mill is seen in the distance and some sheaves of wheat, suggesting the end of harvest.
