Label TextThis print, representing the month of November, is part of a set of twelve prints representing the months of the year. Themed sets, such as this were popular throughout the eighteenth-century in England and America. A young woman fashionably attired for a winter day is out for a walk. She wears a fur trimmed cape and carries a large muff. To her immediate rear is a rustic wooden house. A bird bottle occupies a prominient place in front. To the rear a large house, perhaps a hunting lodge, can be seen. To the loung ladies right is the stump of a tree. Hung from one branch is a brace of birds, and just below them is a gun and hunter's bag.
