Label TextPots of this shape, size, and decoration were produced in Flanders during the second half of the sixteenth century and probably were also being made at the newly formed delft centers in England. A label on the bottom of this pot suggests that it was excavated at Farm Street in the Aldermanster area of London. Three other pots of similar form and decoration in the Colonial Williamsburg collection have the same provenance and publication history (accessions I977-369, I977-370, and 1977-372).
