DescriptionPosset pot and cover: squat baluster-shaped pot with flared rim, short foot ring, S-shaped tubular spout, and two strap-loop handles. Domed cover with pointed mushroom knop. White tin glaze decorated in blue with floral sprays; cloud scrolls on spout; dashes on handles.
Label TextEuropean and oriental flowers painted in both blue and polychrome appear on posset pots of the first quarter of the eighteenth century.
