DescriptionMan's sleeved waistcoat of plum-colored heavy ribbed silk decorated with natural linen net appliqued to fronts, skirts, and pocket flaps, and attached with chain stitch embroidery in natural silk thread, giving the effect of lace. Waistcoat is collarless with front buttoned opening consisting of 13 sprig embroidered buttons and worked buttonholes. Functional pockets covered with shaped flaps. Sleeves and back are made of plum-color glazed wool twill. Sleeves terminate in silk matching the waistcoat fronts, buttoned with one embroidered button each.
