DescriptionRectangular box with hinged lid covered in hide with decorative brass tacks on darker leather strips outlining lid, corners, and in an oval on lid top surrounding bail and rosette brass handle; oval on top and decorative leather detail around flap of lid cut in V shapes; longer darker leather flap attached to edge of lid around front and sides and overalps front and sides when lid is closed; lined with blue paper decorated with red sprigs and ovals; iron lock and hasp. Some hair remaining on hide on front, back, and sides
