Descriptionquart measureLabel TextPartially indistinct touch mark with the arms of Carter (on a shield two lions combatant beneath a crescent) with the crest of a lion's head erased on wreath bar with foliate tips to either side above and the motto "A·POSSE·AD·ESSE [From Possibility to Being]' with a palm frond to either side with a curved reserve below, all within a conforming reserve and stamped twice on face of cover. Partner's or workman's mark "CM" within a horizontal beaded oval on face of cover. Label "LONDON" within an oblong serrated rectangle on face of cover. Owner's initials "IRB" stamped on face of cover.
