DescriptionWoman's calash bonnet of fine ribbed olive green silk gathered and pleated on 5 cane hoops, shaped to accommodate a hair bun worn high on the back of the head. The back of the crown is horizontally pleated inside an oval pointed at the bottom. The broad neck covering, or "apron," is gathered to the bonnet at the neckband. Silk tie-strings of paler green color and silk lining of gray and cream stripes are replaced.Construction History:
