DescriptionWoman's or child's cap of semi-sheer white plain-woven cotton trimmed with insertions of fine needlepoint lace and smocking in a semi-circle around one of the insertions, forming shaping for the head. Thread remnants suggest that lace was once sewn to the front edge.
